Tunnel Barn Farm fishing event…

…is the Midlands Premier Fishery offering day tickets for pleasure fishermen and daily competitions for Match fishermen.  

Located in the picturesque village of Shrewley in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, their fishery is made up of 9 unique pools and two and a half miles of the Grand Union Canal.

They have been open to the public for over 20 years and stock tens of thousands of fish including many varieties of carp, chub, tench, bream, roach, perch etc.  Each pool ranges in size and style and giving you over 300 pegs to choose from.  Each peg has been designed to give anglers something to fish to. There are a number of designated disabled pegs and for those that require assistance reaching their pegs a member of staff is always on hand.

The event was to raise money for the England disabled anglers fishing team and ladies England fishing team who both go unsupported unlike the England men’s teams.

There was 60 people on each team, with a mixture of both men and women.

The North team won on the day, with Danny Sixsmith also from the North taking first place in the pools.

On the day over £2,300 was raised with more donations still coming in.

ur Eddie was fishing with Emma Pickering who has previously won 5 team golds, 1 team silver, 2 team bronze and 1 individual gold in Hungary 2008. Emma is a 2 times national champion 2006 and 2013; 2 ladies fish O’mania champion 2008 and 2013 and 1 x junior fish O’mania.
