About the customer

This customer has been with us for around 2 years now operating from their local depot in Lancashire. They are a global company with operations in Randolph, San Jose, Luxembourg, Rubiera, St. Avold, Dubai, Busan, Istanbul, Taichung, Qingdao, New Delhi, Johannesburg, Manila.  Massachusetts, Taiwan, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, UAE, France, Italy,  Spain, Costa Rica, Brasil, Puerto Rico, Korea, Singapore & the Philippines. They are now celebrating their 10th anniversary from when they opened their UK depot in Lancashire offering a full line of pre-pressurized diaphragm tanks for water well, pressure booster, pressure management, reverse osmosis, hydronic heating and thermal applications.

About the customer

One of FDC’s first flagship customers (2001), who are specialists in school and office equipment, comment on the importance of reliability and the trust given to FDC to manage all of their next day services to its nationwide customer list.

They typically sell to schools in the UK and to distributors internationally. Some of its orders are parcels and the rest goes through FDC and the TPN network.

“Many of our customers typically want orders yesterday as production schedules change, so next-day delivery is very important. Orders are often urgent and FDC are very flexible, even popping back to pick up last-minute pallets after they have already collected everything else,” says the despatch and warehouse manager.

He says that while cost is always important in a commercial setting, reliability is the biggest factor. “If the service isn’t reliable it costs you more in the long run. We package our goods extremely well, but even so I can’t remember the last time we made a claim for any loss or damage in transport. FDC are very good. It offers a great service and we have the benefit of a small local team with a national reach,” he says. “The difference is, you can tell it’s a family run business, as everyone cares more and will go that extra mile for you. Something that we really appreciate.”
