There are a few things you should do in preparation for us coming to collect your pallets. Most importantly, you need to make sure you use the correct pallet size and that your pallets are big enough to fit all your items and sturdy enough to support them.

It’s best to arrange your goods by size, putting large or bulky items at the bottom with smaller, more lightweight items stacked on top, making sure that they’re secure.

You should also try to stack your items in columns, as this is the best way to ensure weight is distributed across your pallets efficiently – and don’t let any items hang over the edge of your pallet. This way, you can be sure that all of your goods will arrive at their destination in one piece.

Strapping items to your pallet and wrapping everything with bubble or shrink wrap will not only help keep everything together but also prevent damage during shipment.

Shipping goods via pallet delivery is a fairly straightforward process.

Simply load and secure goods onto pallets, get in touch with a pallet delivery company – like us – and arrange for your goods to be collected. Your pallets will then be taken to the nearest distribution hub.

From here, the team will plan and coordinate routes for drivers, efficiently loading pallets onto trucks to ensure items reach their destination as quickly as possible. As soon as your items arrive at the destination hub, they’ll be unloaded, scanned, quality checked and sent to the closest depot to the delivery point.

Once your goods arrive at their respective depots, delivery will be arranged, and you’ll be given an ETA.

Since January 2021, the UK is no longer part of the European Union, which means some additional paperwork is required for pallets moving between the UK and EU. You’ll need to accurately declare information on all palletised goods crossing between Britain and the EU, in line with current customs regulations.

The vast majority of shipments will be subject to customs approval, which may add a little time to delivery, but will proceed as normal provided the necessary paperwork is complete. You’ll need:

• A registered EORI number
• Commodity codes
• Export licences (for goods that require them)
